the body electric

There is nothing to do when this comes but wait. Sometimes it goes in a day or two, others it hangs around for several weeks. I remember it as being one of the first symptoms in the early days, before I had even properly identified the thing that was M.E. My limbs begin to twitch and then all of me fills up with something that feels like electricity. I had an old analogue watch once and woke up one afternoon after a heavy and disturbed sleep to find the hands whizzing around just over a spot on my wrist where the muscles were going twitch-mad. I told Mr. Signs about it. He nodded cautiously, as one would. Then it happened again when he was with me. Blimey, he said. Yes. Since then I have discovered that this is not uncommon in people with dodgy immune systems and I have been given all manner of Good Advice, but the only thing that helps is a certain concoction of homoeopathic drops – and resting and waiting.

But I had to go out today for a short while because of this -

Some measure of restoration for soul, if not for body. I am at home in the forest.

(Does anyone know why the photos won't enlarge when I put them on blog? I've tried everything without success)

Gosh, how bizarre. I'm glad that despite the electric body sensations you managed to get out to see those sights. Beautiful pics. Hope the twitching eases swiftly.

Try this...(not sure if it will work but this is the solution others have found)

Do not drag and drop pictures after uploading...

When pictures are uploaded to Blogger Posts they land up at the top of the post editor. After that to place them wherever you want in the post you can drag and drop them in Compose Mode. This sometimes breaks the picture code so better you should switch to Edit Html tab in Post Editor and select the whole code for the picture at the top and then do a Cut and Paste operation to wherever you want it in the post

Hi Mellif, thanks - I hope to be able to do something so that you can enlarge and get the full picture.

Kahless thanks very much - going to try what you suggest later and see.

Well I did roughly what you said, Kahless (well Mr. S did) - though enlarged to medium. But they still aren't doing what they should. Will have another go in subsequent post.

Still open to suggestions.

I reckon it's all about the hex your bod has put on all things teknikle ;0)

Seriously I always load my images with the image button and then drag the image from top of posting to where I want it. I notice that I can enlarge the second image easily but the others just don't work and that, whereas the second image is clear, the other three are 'jaggy' and that they don't have many bits. I would look at the resolution of those images. It may be that the 3 that 'don't work' are simply at a very low res --- just don't hold enough info to enlarge successfully. This will either be because you shot them at a low res ( in which there's not much you can do to improve matters) or you edited the images before posting and uploaded them at too low a res: in which case you can go back and re-edit, if you have the originals, and then repost.

There's something quite amazing about those watch hands whizzing round: I'm glad someone has been able to independently verify it though. I say that slightly teasingly, but many's the time when something "odd" happens, and there are surely many reasons.

I'm too tired and addled right now to offer any coherent advice regarding the pictures - though they're clearly very fine in their non-enlarged state - but as regards the titular body electric, I hope you don't have to wait for long before it passes.

Thank goodness for prior knowledge/experience though, which I hope kills what might otherwise be much anxiety? My best wishes x

Thanks Cusp, I think I need to go away and study the "res" thing because I haven't a clue. I just pointed the camera and pressed a button innit? I thought that getting this lovely digital camera would sort everything but I can see I need to learn a few things. Bugger.

Trousers, it is amazing and only happens when I have the electricity thing going on, the signs of which are always unmistakeable. It always passes eventually. The drops I take are to make the "environment" (me) more alkaline.

Such beautiful scenes. I cannot believe its been a year since I was in Lewes. I'll be back soon. I promise.

Hi Collin - Lewes is a different landscape, more open downland, lovely. But forest is where I live so where I go most often.

I refer to the electricity like sensation as the "chi fizzing", only I've discovered there are two types of fizzing chi - the cold one is not good and the plain buzzy one is addictive and very good.
I hope you feel stronger soon, Signs. I too am feeling the need for very quiet time, and as we know, it's best to heed the old bod's signals. Go gently.

I let it move through me, Vanilla, the better to fizz without it. I do not wish to be a lightning rod. It's just weird.

Hi Signs

That is strange. What happens if you wear a compass? I agree with everyone else - the photos are wonderful. I also do what Kahless suggests (with a lot of additional cussing) with photos. It does seem to work for me.

Stay bright.

Glad you like the photos, Pants. Digital camera is nice - no skill necessary.

Dear Signs,
Really like this post.
I did a posting on it.

Of course, since clarity is not my strong suit, do not hold my post against me.
My post is gushy where it should be amiable, and supercilious where it should be engaging.

Oh, well...

Thank you so much, Montag. You are neither gushy nor supercilious.
